The checker fetches your live robots.txt and evaluates it against 20+ AI crawlers.
Read the verdict per crawler: allowed, partly blocked or fully blocked, grouped by training, search and user-triggered bots.
Adjust your robots.txt where a verdict does not match your intention, then re-check.
Most websites made their AI crawling decision by accident, usually by never making one. This checker turns the accident into a decision: it reads your actual robots.txt and shows, bot by bot, who may train on your content, who may cite you in AI answers, and who may visit when their user asks. The verdicts are grouped by purpose, because blocking a training crawler and blocking an AI search crawler have opposite effects on your traffic.
Two confusions the results deliberately clear up: Google-Extended is not Google Search, so a training block costs no rankings; and a missing robots.txt means everyone is allowed, which is a policy too, just one you did not choose. Where the checker reports a partial block, it names the disallowed paths so you can judge whether they are the sensitive ones you meant to protect.
Pair it with the llms.txt tools here: robots.txt for control, llms.txt for guidance, and your content strategy decides both. The check itself reads only the public robots.txt and llms.txt files, exactly what any crawler sees.
