About the Email Blacklist Checker

When business email silently starts landing in spam, the cause is often not the emails: it is a blacklist entry quietly attached to your sending IP or domain. This checker asks the lists themselves, live, using the same DNS mechanism receiving mail servers use, covering the Spamhaus ZEN and DBL lists, SpamCop, Barracuda, UCEPROTECT, PSBL, Mailspike, URIBL and SURBL.

The results explain themselves in plain language. A listing shows what kind it is, including the important distinction between a spam-source listing and a harmless policy listing. When a list refuses queries from public resolvers, the checker says the result is unknown rather than dressing it up as clean, because a false all-clear is worse than no answer.

Run it after any deliverability scare and as monthly hygiene, and pair it with correct SPF, DKIM and DMARC records: blacklists decide whether you are trusted to arrive, authentication decides whether you are believed when you do.

Email Blacklist Checker FAQs

An email blacklist (a DNSBL) is a public list of IP addresses and domains that mail providers consult before accepting email. If your mail server IP or domain appears on one, your messages, invoices, password resets, order confirmations, get rejected or dumped in spam by every provider using that list. The major lists, Spamhaus, SpamCop, Barracuda and others, are checked live by this tool straight from the lists themselves.
