About the Increase Video Volume

The most common defect in real-world video is not the picture, it is the whisper. This tool fixes it two ways: a manual boost of up to 20 dB for when you know how much you need, and a proper loudness normalization for speech, which measures the audio and lands it at the broadcast standard instead of guessing.

The picture is never re-encoded, so the fix is fast and lossless where it counts, and the whole job runs on FFmpeg inside your browser: your lecture, interview or family clip is not uploaded to anyone's server to get louder.

Pair it with the rest of the video family here: trim the clip first, boost it, then compress it for sharing, all locally.

Increase Video Volume FAQs

The boost slider goes to +20 dB, which is a lot: every +6 dB roughly doubles perceived loudness steps noticeably, and +10 dB sounds about twice as loud. Quiet phone recordings usually need +6 to +12 dB. You can also go the other way, down to -20 dB, for clips that blast. If you push a very quiet recording too far, its background noise gets louder along with the voices; that hiss was always there, just quieter.
