About the MP3 Cutter

The difference between a raw trim and a finished clip is about two seconds of fading and an exact cut, and this tool does both. Set the in and out points to the fraction of a second, optionally fade the edges, and the section is re-encoded cleanly as a fresh MP3: ringtone-ready, sample-ready, share-ready.

It accepts the whole family of audio formats because the job usually starts wherever the recording happens to live: a WhatsApp voice note, a WAV from a recorder, a song from the library. Output stays MP3 for maximum compatibility, and the entire edit happens with FFmpeg in your browser, so the audio never leaves your device.

Extract the audio from a video first with the video to MP3 tool here, and this cutter finishes the job.

MP3 Cutter FAQs

Upload the song or recording, set the start and end of the part you want (phone ringtones live happily at 15 to 30 seconds), add a one or two second fade-out so it does not stop dead, and download the cut as an MP3. Most phones accept an MP3 ringtone directly through their sound settings; iPhones need the file routed through GarageBand or a computer sync, which is Apple's restriction, not the file's fault.
