About the Salary Tax Calculator

Gross salary is the number on the offer letter; net salary is the number that actually matters, and the gap between them surprises almost everyone the first time. This calculator closes that gap with simplified 2024-25 slabs for four countries, showing not just the total tax but exactly which slice of your income each slab taxed.

The slab table is the real teacher here. Watching your income get divided into bands makes the marginal system click: a raise that pushes you into a higher bracket only taxes the extra rupees, dollars or pounds at the higher rate. The estimate disclaimer is there because real payrolls add layers this tool deliberately skips.

Salary Tax Calculator FAQs

The calculator applies marginal tax slabs: your income is split across brackets, and each slice is taxed at its own rate. Only the part of your salary inside a higher slab pays the higher rate, so moving into a new bracket never taxes your whole salary at the top rate.
